How It Works

Welcome Duelists, to the Dark World Rankings

This is a league where duelists alike battle their way to get to the top of the Rankings and reign as number one duelist!

BEFORE THE COMPETITIONS BEGIN- we have chosen the top ten most active members to participate. If things start rolling and we start getting more members who want to participate, we will increase the number of positions available. The Rankings will be arranged in an order deemed such by the Headmaster and Admins of the forum. The placement of the opening positions will not be questioned. This is final by all Admins, both current and future. If one wishes to be removed from the Rankings, one can simply notify an Admin and he/she will be removed from the competitions.

In order to move up in the ranks, you must simply defeat the next ranked duelist in a match. Rankings Leader, your task is to maintain your position. You are on your own! (If you have been found to have been avoiding the academy or DN in order to remain in the leading position, you WILL be removed from the Rankings and not be permitted to participate furthermore. Avoiding the academy or DN would be considered as not being online within a week.)

ALL match results should be posted and confirmed by the opponent in order for the list to be modified. Each match result should have it's own thread. DO NOT use another posted result as your own. This will aid the Admin in keeping the Rankings up-to-date. Once the results have been adjusted to the Rankings, the posted results will be locked in the Results thread.

If defeated, you must allow that duelist the chance to challenge his next opponent (a minimum of 48 hours must be provided before challenging the winner). If after that match, he/she is still in the above rank, you may challenge to recover your rank. You must also allow the rank below you the chance to prove him/herself.

If the next ranked duelist is in a duel, please be patient and await the results of the match to see who you will be challenging. If the next ranked duelist is unable to then continue, please do not be upset. There are more important things in life than this game. Upon returning, the next ranked duelist MUST provide you your opportunity.

The decks to be used for Rankings will be personal decks. Your deck will be posted alongside your name in the Rankings. Only the top 3 Rank Holders may change his/her deck. If such a change is made, the new deck being used must be updated in the corresponding forum listing, before continuing in Rankings.

Deck editing will be permitted, however only minor adjustments. (Deck archetypes Must remain the same. For example, if you are running Inzectors, you may change your playing strategies, but you Must continue to play with Inzectors.) If you are found to be using a deck other than your posted deck, you will be removed from the Rankings and placed on a period of non-participation. During a challenge, if your opponent is using a deck that is not posted, we ask that you make proof and inform an Admin. Any false allegations WILL be dealt with accordingly.

Upon challenging the next ranked duelist, your opponent will be permitted a 30 minute grace period in which to begin the match. Failure to follow this guideline will ensure a loss of the challenge.

Again, challenges can only be made when both duelists are online and available to duel.

And, YES! For those of you wondering, there is a reason to participate in this big ordeal! Each Saturday, at 1200 hrs CST, the top three ranked members will receive an appropriate award.
- 1^st Ranked Member: You will receive 150 UWP
- 2^nd Ranked Member: You will receive 100 UWP
- 3^rd Ranked Member: You will receive 50 UWP

These are the basis for Dark World Rankings. If ANY problems arise, inform an Administrator of such problem and proof of the problem in the appropriate thread.

-Be cautioned, if you are found to be using any of these rulings in a way to get moved up in the ranks, you will be removed from the Rankings and will be placed in a period of probation. Repeat offenses will result in a permanent removal from the Rankings.
